    Owner/Veterinarian

I was born and raised in Portage Michigan.  I went to Florida State University to study marine biology after my high school councilor discouraged me from Veterinary school because it was too hard to get in.  My college professor encouraged me to follow my dream and I graduated from University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984.
I practice in Florida for 14 years and move to northern Michigan in 1998.  In 2005 I bought the Banfield Pet Hospital franchise in Traverse City.  The franchisor bought it back in 2015 and I decided to open a mobile hospital.
I've been married to Allyson since 2003 and I have 3 grown children.  Andy teaches english in Bogota, Colombia, Kyle goes to school in Florida and Caity is a massage therapist in the Chicago area.
I look forward to continuing my work with local rescue groups, humane societies and the great people of northern Michigan.

I was born a troll and raised a Yooper! I am a graduate of Michigan State University with an emphasis in the sciences. My work history is long and varied with almost 30 years experience as a teacher; at a nature center as well as in the public school system. I stepped out of the classroom in 2008 from Lake City.  Having a lifelong love affair with animals I've had multiple pets in my life from all animal classes...fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.  I am looking forward to traveling the roads of northern Michigan and meeting all of you and your pets!

    Kelly Lemcool

My name is Kelly and I am a Traverse City native.  I have had a passion for animals since a very young age.  I started working in the veterinary field in 1984 in Clovis, NM on an Airfare Base.  My career has given me various opportunities in many field, and for that I am thankful.  I’ve practiced in modern medicine and holistic medicine as well as I’m an advocate for VOM/Cold laser, massage therapy and acupuncture.  I love to share my knowledge with clients as well as listen to their concerns.  Client education is the art of awareness.  Keeping up with continuing education for myself is always important.  So many new things.  I have 2 adult children and a grandson who I’m very proud of.  I have many creatures in my life; cats, dogs, a bird, an iguana, horses and a calf for the fair this year. They are all quite entertaining at times.  I’m hoping to continue with this career field for a few more years and serve those in my community with great quality care.
